Fishing

Fisherman for a daytrio ii

Cod fishing in Lofoten is known throughout the world. Nothing is like a plate of fresh cod, especially after catching it yourself. The cod fishing season starts in January and ends in April. The fishing experience will be non the less exiting during other times of the year, with the chance of getting amongst more seite and kveite in addition to the cod.

If you visit with us, you will be able to take part in the whole process from fishing the cod, hanging it to dry, and preparing the most delicious meals from the stock fish.

Up until 1914 the boats used for fishing was rowing boats, and we still say that the fishermen are out rowing while at work. With the motorboats taking over, the fishing industry expanded and is still the most important in Lofoten. Our bout used on these trips served as a fishing boat on the Lofoten sea until 2010. After having to freshen I t up a little, we are now lucky to invite you out on the sea as a fisherman for a day. Or you might be interested in staying on the boat for several days?

On our trips we will prepare a taste of that days catch.

All necessary fishing equipment is on board.

Half day trips last about four hours. For information about longer trips or live aboard, please contact us.
